*sigh* so I talked to my financial aid advisor today and basically all the money that I’m currently receiving will eventually go away…She told me not to think of it that way and that it wasn’t positively sure that that’s what’s going to happen…but it’s good to be aware…and in this case, to be negatively aware about it because if I think nothing of it, then when that time comes…I’ll be penniless and wouldn’t be able to continue schooling….
To sum it all of up. My Cal Grant will be ending next year and if the rumors true about Pell Grant, then this will also end once I’m in my 6th year of college. You would think 6 years is a lot of time to do all you need to do, but sadly it’s not. I’m in my 3rd year of college and usually in high school they tell you, 4 years to get a bachelors…but there’s no way in hell I’m even close to that.. -.- With my Cal Grant gone…and tuition rising every year..I’ll be lucky enough if my Pell Grant will cover all my expenses…sooo if they do…I would need to take about ~17 more classes which is roughly about 69 units in the next two years…..that would mean taking 3-4 classes a semester and receiving a decent grade. And this would use up all my financial aid without taking out loans if I’m lucky.
then after all that mess…i’ll need to figure out a situation about getting into the PT program and if theres any financial aid for that…or whatnot….
….i feel like I’m being suffocated with such a short amount of time with hardly any room for mistakes…. *sigh* hopefully this isn’t the case at all…..and if i take it year by year….it should be fine…right? :/
